The great majority of conventional gas detectors needs scheduled calibration. The calibration frequency varies from one manufacturer of detectors to another, but the general recommendation says that calibration must be carried out at least once a year. It is why each manufacturer of gas detectors is obliged to provide tools for calibration of its equipment.
With regard to on-site calibration, SmArtGas 4, ProGas 4 and ReAct 4 gas detectors can be calibrated in two ways. The first method consists in calibration by means of dedicated Sigma Toolbox software designed for PC computers and available for downloading from the www.atestgaz.pl website. But for detectors provided with Bluetooth interface, calibration is also possible with the use of an application for Android platform. The application is called Detector Toolbox and can be downloaded from Google Play shop or from the www.atestgaz.pl website.
